Problems with Graphics
Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

When I open documents created in earlier versions of Word with Word 2008, the graphics and equations are not visible. (Equations are replaced by blank spaces and graphics by an outline with a big "X".) However, if I open the same documents in Word 2004, the graphics and equations are visible. Furthermore, I can copy and paste them from Word 2004 into a new document in Word 2008, save that in ".docx" format, and they are then visible. Is there any other way of getting them to show in Word 2008 besides this process?

Re: Problems with Graphics
Ingrid, we're not aware of any issue with the equations that may cause
this, but we'd like to see a sample document if you don't mind sending
us one. I've CC'd our Tech Support folks on this, and they're ready to
help you out if they can. Please send a sample document directly to
them at support@dessci.com.

Thanks,
Bob
