sharing files on messenger/seeing display pics
Processor: Power PC

Hello. I know on messenger for PCs there is an icon in order to share files between users. A friend of mine has this and wants to share files with me, but I do not see such a capability on my mac messenger 7.0. Does it not exist? If it does, where or how do I get it?

Also, I cannot see the display pictures of my friends. What is going on? Supposedly I have Mac Messenger 7.0 but it doesn't seem very advanced if I can't do either of these things.

Hi!

At this time, Mac Messenger does not have the ability to share directories,
but you can still send individual files between contacts by using the "Send
File" button at the top of the conversation window.

Regarding the display pictures - are your contacts using Mac Messenger, or
Windows Live Messenger?

OK, Thanks. Most of my contacts don't have Macs so they're using Windows Live Messenger. What should I have in order to see their pictures also? Is there a difference between Mac Messenger and Windows Live for Mac?

There have been several newsgroup reports from customers that are unable to
see display pictures for contacts using Windows Live Messenger. Since there
is some variability in how this issue reproduces itself, we are still
investigating. Rest assured that we are searching for a cause and/or
resolution :)
