deleting contacts   

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Hello,
My problem is that i cannot delete contacts from my contact list. I've tried blocking and deleting them, I've also tried deleting them from my email contacts but it doesn't work. Every time I delete a contact, the next time I sign back into msn I get a message saying that they added me to their contact list and I should either accept or reject their request. Even if I do choose to block them again, I get the same message the next time i sign in.
Is there anything that can be done to permanently remove contacts from my list. Please help.

Hi Mehek,

Can you please try the following:
1. Delete your contacts from the e-mail side
2. Make sure Messenger is quit
3. Delete the following files:
* All preferences are located in your ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft folder
for Messenger 6.0.3 and in ~/Library/Preferences for Messenger 7.0
A. Microsoft Messenger User Cache
B. Microsoft Messenger User Cache.plist (Located in the
~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft folder for both Messenger 6.0.3 & Messenger
7.0)
4. Launch Messenger and sign-in

Please let me know if you get the add alerts again or if the contacts
reappear.
