Backgammon Quiter affects my points
Hello,
I have returned to backgammon on the zone not being here for several
years. Back then if someone quit or dropped out they would eventually
loose points and the person left playing would not be affected. About 1
in 5 games I find someone quits and I refuse to play guests. Some
people have good ratings so I guess it is their internet connection. I
have noticed over the week that their is a quirk in the scoring. I
created a new nick and started from scratch to monitor the scoring.

I won 4 games straight and had a score of 1655.

I was in the middle of a game where someone quit.

I waited a bit for the score to update and played no more games.

I found I had shown an extra 2 games taking me to 6, 1 was a loss and
one was an increase in the win. Obviously that reduced my score
slightly to 1651.

I had experienced this many times but this was the first time I set out
to monitor this carefully. Anyone know what is happening here? I have
tried quiting after when the computer player takes over or playing the
game out to win and each time it is the same result, one win and one
loss. I would not bother about it if it did not happen so often.

I remember years ago when people would stall the game and cause you to
loose so is their a new bug that allows people to quit when they are
losing? Is there anything that can be done about it.
