I set up an Asus A8N-E system to run vista beta on. A plain jane system but the chipset drivers will not install, saying they're not designed for this version of Windows NT. Vista itself went in just fine but nothing works without the chipset drivers.
Nothing to do with the Zone, but try contacting Asus. Though, I doubt they have any chipset drivers, yet, for a beta version of an operating system. -- +DocJeff Member Plus - Technical Support MSN Games by Zone.com http://zone.msn.com "Neal at Spectdar Computing" wrote in message news:701580B3-1F16-4D68-912B-4F52E8A163C4@microsoft.com... >I set up an Asus A8N-E system to run vista beta on. Thanks Doc. I found the right place to post this and forgot this one was still live. I've found out the best way is to extract the driver package to a temp folder and stop the install. Then I go into device manager and use the update driver function. This has worked on chipset, video and sound drivers. The funny thing is that once you wade through the initial install, you can update with newer versions in the usual way. I filed a feedback report on it. Thanks for answering.
