EQ2 bad, AC2 good
I spent a week or so with the EQ2 beta, and I gotta tell you, compared to
AC2, EQ2 blows chunks. I admittedly have not played EQ1 or AC1, so I can't
compare to those, but EQ2 just lacked the 'magic' of AC2. Anyone else?

Re: EQ2 bad, AC2 good
I've heard that they have recently started Live Events in AC2. Has anyone
been to any of them?

Re: EQ2 bad, AC2 good
Live events? That might be interesting. But then, you need live people for a
live event, and AC2 population levels are at an alltime low. I started a new
charactor just for the fun of it, and I'm all alone. There just isn't anyone
there!

Re: EQ2 bad, AC2 good
I think the live events are on the European Servers... so maybe not the USA
ones.

No, they've DEFINITELY been doing live events in the original AC.

Seems extremely cool, really. They schedule them.

One was a n00b run where they portal unbuffed, new characters somewhere
and have a race. The one whose corpse is the farthest wins.

They would be great except 2 things:
 a. The server can't handle it. Portal storms abound!
 b. The client can't handle it. (well, it might if you wanted to turn
everything down to it's lowest, but probably not)

Nono we were talking about AC2... I know that the live events are going on
in the USA Servers for AC1, I've been to quite a few myself.
