No tables in the room
Hi,

I've had this problem for a few days now, un/reinstalled MSN Zone,
deleted the MSN Gaming Zone folder, purged the IE cache, etc. but the
room is still desperately void and empty.

Is this related to Flash 8 ? Any1 else experiencing this ?

TIA,
RVG

I play a couple of board games, especially Reversi and some Chess.
Neither room shows tables: they're plain black.
I'm currently trying to remove everything from my hd following the Zone faq.

I would remove the Zone ActiveX, plus any damaged components from
Internet Properties, General tab, TIF Settings, View Objects. Then
clear the cache, then reenter the Zone for fresh copies.

Your security settings, spyware software, or maybe your firewall might
be preventing the display of the rooms too. See these helpful pages for
more suggestions:

I've no router and just the XP sp2 fw.

There are many suggestions on the EnterRooms.html page. Did you look
through them? The Flashing Rooms error wouldn't apply in your case; it
wouldn't explain the missing tables.

I looked at the links to the beginniers' Reversi room and the Beginner's
Room 1 (Chess).

javascript:RaiseLobby_V2('zrvse_ot_x10','game=<reversi>dll=<reversi.dll>datafile=<reversires.dll>logo=<zonelogo.dll>','207.46.203.24:28889','Beginner\'s
Room','REVERSI',true,true,0,'E93B5D9F-46DD-11d3-8B98-00C04F8EF2FF','Reversi')

javascript:RaiseLobby_V2('zkqrp_ot_x10','game=<chess>dll=<chess.dll>datafile=<chessres.dll>logo=<zonelogo.dll>','207.46.203.22:28910','Beginner\'s
Room1','CHESS',true,true,0,'E93B5D9F-46DD-11d3-8B98-00C04F8EF2FF','Chess')

They show that zonelogo.dll is loaded in both games.

The \Common folder, or the \ZSetup folder can also have a damaged or
missing, common file, responsible for a variety of lobbies and their
graphics. These files are suspect:

\ZSetup: Cardboard.zat, Core.zat

\Common: zroom2.dll, zroom4.dll, zlights.dll, zonelogo.dll

You might try deleting these specifically, and reentering the Zone for
fresh copies.

If you have Windows XP, that probably didn't help; they're considered
system files and are reinstalled from backups. The same might happen
with Windows 2000. I'm not sure when this happens, or if it's the
problem though.

Try removing MSN Gaming Zone from Add/Remove Programs control, then
reinstall.
