Hi, New here. Wasn't sure how to search for the answer, so here goes: What is the program doing at startup that it needs the CD inserted? I thought I had installed it completely but it won't play without it. Is it just playing the videos from the CD? Can I work around it so I don't have to carry my CD with my laptop. Thanks. D.

It is verifying that you actually bought the game and didn't try to pirate it. The game CD has copy protection written to the CD that cannot (usually) be copied, so if you have a copy of the game it won't work when you try to run the game. There are ways around needing the CD, but this is a Microsoft newsgroup so you'll have to figure it out on your own because they don't want you to know. -- -A.
