VSS 6 to 2005 -- Questions about upgrading
hello everyone.

need some advice! though i don't use the product, i 'administer' my group's
vss 6 db. that involves me pretty much running analyze a couple times a week
(once a week with compress) and walking through the troubleshooting steps
documented at microsoft if/when the log has errors. not that big of a deal.

well i'd heard that there can start to be issues when the db gets around
6GB--we're currently just under that, so i thought i should look into
upgrading since it's only going to keep getting larger.

unfortunately, my initial internet perusal wasn't able to find an answer to
my question:

does the 6gb size problem get 'fixed' if i upgrade to 2005? i'm confused
here since we will be using the same db and i'm under the impression that
there's no 'upgrade' process for the db. how are corruption issues related
to size fixed if the db stays the same structurally?

i guess, more simply, what course of action would you guys recommend i take
given my situation?

THANKS in advance for the responses, i greatly appreciate it!
