VSS 2005 + VS 2003 .NET over HTTP - Repeatedly asks for password
Hi,

I am using Visual Studio 2003 with VSS 2005 to connect to a remote
source repository via HTTP. The repository is on a LAN that I can
connect to via VPN, and is geographically very distant from me
(Australia to eastern Europe). We are not using SSL.

When I open the solution, I am repeatedly asked for a Windows domain
username and password that is valid on the host server. Regardless of
whether I select "remember password", I have to enter the username and
password 5 times whilst the solution loads (slowly).

I assumed that this was just another bug in VSS/VS, but when I opened
the solution for our customised Enterprise Library code, I was not
asked for a credential.

Can anyone shed some light on what's going on, and how I can prevent
this exasperating behaviour?

Warm regards,

-tom
