Is the time zone bug fixed?
We currently use VSS 6 for our version control system. We are evaluating
what to use for our Next Big Project.

We have developers in America, Europe, and Japan. Our big objection to
using SourceSafe is the time zone problem. As a result of the time zone
problem, we each maintain a separate source safe server in each of our
locations.

That won't work for our next project. We want to have a higher level of
coordination between developers. To achieve this, we need a source control
system that gets the timestamps right. Will VSS 2005 work for us? In case
it matters, some of the development will be done in Visual Studio, but we
also have source code for embedded systems that use their own compilers, and
we also will be storing drawings and other binaries as part of the source
control system.

And while I'm here, if anyone knows, what about Team Foundation Server? Is
it intended specifically for Team System, or is it a general purpose system
that can be used with other tools?
