i am using windows xp as vss 2005 server and my client is windows XP as well. When i open a projecct from visual studio 2005 and get the latest version, it will prompt a message in the output to say 'Unable to use SourceSafe LAN service', I have already enabled the 'LAN improve' in the VSS2005 server. I checked some threads but it only says there is a fix on windows 2000, but my OS is windows XP. Also when I open project from visual studio 2003, i can't see that warning but actually it is not fast. Can anyone help?
