Missing TOC
Hello Mr. Rob Chandler,

I found your previous posting and I met the same thing with my help
integration, could you please tell me how to fix it if you found the
answer?
   Thanks!

Amy

When I Open VS Help from the VS IDE I see no TOC Items + no Filters
Listed

(Only plug-in is the default MS.MSDNQTR.2003FEB.1033)

Index etc OK

If I open VS 2003 help from a command line DExplore /helpcol

ms-help://ms.vscc.2003

its fine.

Open in 3rd party viewer

its fine

Set My Profile: Show Help = internet Help

its fine

Any Suggestions?

Thanks

Rob Chandler

Re: Missing TOC
Hi Amy
So you installed/registered a collection into VS v8 and the collection never
showed?

Honestly I think the easiest way to get by this VS Beta 2 problem
is to simply to open "ms.vscc.v80" collection in a third party browser.
Its only DExplore with VS v8 Beta 2 that is _not_ forcing a merge
and thus completing the registration correctly. VS v8 Final release
will be OK.

There is a free H2 Viewer on our web site. Simply open ms.vscc.v80
in it and you should get the long delay as the H2 engine corrects
everything.
