While playing around with the FAR H2 utilities, I think I unregistered the Help that goes with Visual Studio. I no longer had any help in there at all. Using the H2 Utilities and re-registering the Microsoft stuff, I've been able to get the Visual Studio .NET and MSDN Library back in it, but haven't been able to get VSHIK (or some 3rd party tools I've purchased) to appear within Visual Studio. I've even tried uninstalling and re-installing VSHIK, but the help still doesn't appear in Visual Studio. So it seems to me that I've deleted a "root node" of sorts. Anyone have any clue what I did? Or how to fix it without reinstalling Visual Studio? Thanks - Dan (a pretty clueless FAR user!)
Ah. Ok, I figured it out. Please ignore the previous post!
Cool! We often back up the registry info before we muck around with collections. FAR 4 will allow you to export out the registration info of a H2 collection to a H2Reg INI script file. Then later you can import that file and restore the registration. Its saved us a couple of time :-S Rob -- Rob Chandler MS Help MVP http://helpware.net/FAR/ http://mshelpwiki.com/ "DC" wrote in message news:%23UEKTi8ZFHA.3400@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > Ah.
