Reinstall procedure for integrated help in VS 2003
Hello all,
This is a separate issue from yesterday's post (which has not yet
appeared in the group for some readon). A developer here is updating
content in my help project. He installed the project and it integrated
and displayed properly in VS .NET 2003. He made some content changes,
uninstalled the help from Control Panel, and then installed the rebuilt
msi. If he restarts VS after the uninstall, he sees the help update
message. When he restarts VS after the reinstall, there is no help
update message. He did not change anything in the setup project or
msms.

I have notes that when I was doing successive reinstalls i had to
1)uninstall help 2)restart my machine 3)install help 4)restart my
machine 5)start VS .NET to have a successful update. I don't see why
this process is necessary, but it is not working for my developer.
Frankly I am afraid to try it myself right now. Can anyone shed light
on this?
Regards,
Carwen
