I installed the so called PowerShell Visual Studio template that allows creation of PS scripsts in VS.2005. To my astonishment now when I open any other project (web or otherwise) the only templates group is C# and therein ONLY the PowerShell script template!!! Everything else is gone (VB, Database projects, Web Project items)! I tried devenv.exe /InstallVSTemplates but the standard templates are still gone. How can I fix this? I have a similar (the same?) problem in VS2005, the Powershell Template Category is automatically selected when adding a new item to an open project, selecting "Visual C# Project Items" shows other templates. Where should we report this on Connect? Powershell / Visual Studio Joris
In my case I only see the PowerShell templates under C# projects wherease previously I could see VB, J#, C#, Database, Other projects and under each their own project items. Now all of them are gone with the exception of C#/PowerShell :( "Joris van Lier" wrote in message news:7E9B4B05-4B9D-4783-9B1A-61FD07732419@microsoft.com... > "....DotNet4Ever...." wrote in message > news:#caR1j6zIHA.5400@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >> I installed the so called PowerShell Visual Studio template that allows >> creation of PS scripsts in VS.2005. > Where should we report this on Connect? Powershell / Visual Studio I have never played much with VS prior to trying out these templates. Where exactly did you get them from? Here? http://channel9.msdn.com/playground/Sandbox/249904-Windows-PowerShell-Visual-Studio-2005-Templates-C-and-VBNET/ I don't know where/if these can be reported, but I can offer to try to follow this up. I've only tried these on a default install of VC# Express 2005. I can't remember if I tried them with 2008.
