Runtime Error - No http handler was found for request type 'GET'   

I am using Visual Studio 2008. I am creating a new asp.net 
application/website just 
from visual studio without making any edits. When I try to execute I get: 


No http handler was found for request type 'GET' 

If you know what this problem is, your help will be appreciated.
