VS 2005 SP1 Source
Hi
I have recently puchased VS 2008 Professional with MSDN Professional
Subscription. I'm currently developing with others using VS 2005 and I
downloaded that from msdn.com as I was in a hurry and couldn't wait for the
CDs/DVDs to arrive. I have just received these and notice that there is no
disc for VS 2005 SP1 and the only download I can find for it on msdn2.com is
a 4.5GB DVD. That's a whopping download - is that the only way I can get
it??cheers

Re: VS 2005 SP1 Source
Don't know if you're still looking, but the SP1 patch seems easy enough to
find on the Downloads section of the Visual Studio website:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/vs2005/aa718359.aspx

Last time I checked it was also available through Microsoft Update (the
successor to Windows Update which also services other MS products.)

If you're running Vista you'll also want the post-SP1 patch, which again
should be offered through MS Update.

I'd have thought the download from MSDN would already include SP1, though
can't check that. That would certainly explain the download size.
