IIS ftp, unable to write
I've got FTP server configured on Server 2003, also running with ISA 2004
(FTP open and write enabled). FTP from the command line back to the same box
works ok, but if I go to another box, and run FTP from the command line I
only get read access. I can't upload files. I get an ACCESS DENIED message
when I try to do a put. The directory security looks right that I should
have write access. FTP is set up to allow write access, but it does not
work. Any ideas on why this is not working?

Re: IIS ftp, unable to write
Hi Phil,
We had exactly the same problems with FTP and others a few years ago. For
that reason we wrote our own utility 'Blade Transfer Services' for
uploading. It has far more functionality than FTP and is more secure and
only uses HTTPS. Check it out at http://www.blade.net.nz

Re: IIS ftp, unable to write
if you have ISA in front, ensure you got write enable in the publishing
rule.
