Windows Longhorn Professional Edition Beta 1 Windows Developers Ki
What is it? It's for Windows Vista Beta 1?
(Why "Longhorn" than "Vista" in name?)
Windows Vista SDK (f.e unmanaged api) or another thing?
What things does the Windows Developers Kit contain?

Re: Windows Longhorn Professional Edition Beta 1 Windows Developers Ki
It's a beta of the next generation Driver Developers Kit. They don't
exactly say so very clearly though. It's easier to figure that out after
installing it.

Why "Longhorn" in the name, well maybe some people are hedging their bets on
the plan to name it "Vista" because of trademark issues (warning in case it
wasn't obvious: this was a snarky answer).

The reason "Longhorn" in the name is simply because the branding exercise
for Windows Vista (TM) is still ongoing across the product and associated
tools, SDKs,DDKs etc. So just as you see the Longhorn name in the current
Windows Vista Beta 1 we will continue to clear up the branding as
development continues.

Please also ensure that you refer to our product by our trademarked name
Windows Vista. :-)
