microphone help!   
hi im new to computer, iv just purchased some headphones and mic, i tested 
them and it says they are working properly but do i need to click on anything 
to hear sound from them i just thought i might have to disconect my speakers 
or something, lol i feel so silly for asking this but iv tryed everything, 
thanx anyone that can help! jodie

Hi Jodie,

This question doesn't fit in this newsgroup, but I'll answer it:

Once you have bought the microphone, connect the red cable to the red jack 
in your sound card, and do the same for the green cable with the green jack.

Once done, open up Sounds and audio devices properties under Control Panel 
and click on Voice tab. Next, click on Test Hardware and follow the onscreen 
instructions.

Once done with that, try using MSN Messenger and start a voice converstaion 
wtih your friend and see if that works.
