Well here's my take after installing Vista/Longhorn * first off all the Black and White startup screen is awful * Seems like the foundation of all the Window OS's are going to be off Win2k or XP, Computer Management etc. were still present, IIS was the same as Win2k3, network connections same as Win2k3 (XP) and I can certainly see other stuff being reused from the Win2k(XP) Foundation so what's new in VISTA then? other than fancy graphic (Apple Like)? * Avalon More like Winamp Skins....just to impress but what about the MEAT of the system will it be more faster/secure/intelligent etc.....? TIA

It's beta 1, and lots of stuff are being rewritten (backend). For frontend changes, expect to see it on Beta 2. other than fancy graphic (Apple Like)? > * Avalon More like Winamp Skins....just to impress but what about the MEAT > of the system will it be more faster/secure/intelligent etc.....? > > TIA > >
