Hi, Currently suffering a problem with my Vista 32Bit Ultimate OS. I'm running a Q6600, 2GB Crucial Ballistix, 7900GS 256MB... I leave my PC running 24/7 sometimes when I return after a few hours a little ! sign is in the icon bar at the bottom right of the screen. I double click it and it says that aero turned itself off due to it using most of the ram. While this is occurring I see CPU usage at 0% and ram usage at it's typical 30%. Could someone help me diagnose the problem and a fix so Aero always stays on? Thanks in advance :) -- ConsoleKing
sounds like you have a memory leak in some other application. Task Manager is a good place to start diagnosis. -- geezer10
your computer will run faster without aero and the sidebar they use up memory -- bot64
My computer runs aero, but then on random occasions it turns itself off, and the colour-change menu turns to one off XP. STRANGE. -- Frozen *FR*OZEN*- Pioneering the new way to fix computers, hitting them with a HUGE hammer.*
Sometimes some of your programs do not support Aero at all or Aero doesn't support it. Some programs aren't support with desktop composition, so Aero is automatically turned off. Close your program and it should return back to normal. -- deltatux ASUS M3A AM2+ motherboard AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 2.2 GHz Brisbane Sapphire ATi Radeon HD 3650 w/ 512MB DDR2 Hitachi 320 GB SATA HDD w/ 16 MB Cache Kingston 2GB DDR2-667 RAM
I turned that crap off the first time I turned my PC and Laptop on. It's a waste of memory and performance. -- KingOfChaos
Mine comes and goes too! I've searched for answers, got none. -- DaBoogadie Nvidia Branded CoolerMaster Stacker830 Windows Vista Ultimate 64Bit SP1 LG Flatron Wide 24" 1920x1200 Asus L1N64-WS Sli (680a) (2) Amd Athlon 64 FX74 Dual Core @ 3.4gigs 8Gb (4X2Gb)OCZ PC2 6400 Gold Edition 5-5-5-15 (2) EVGA GeForce 8800 Ultra 768Mb PCIe-Sli Mode 702/1107/1734 (2) WD 150Gb RaptorX (1) WD 320Gb (2) Lite-On 20X DVD-RW 1200W Toughpower Logitech® Z-5500 Digital
