Bad voice quality on a Dialogic DIVA Analog 4   

Hi all

I just installed a brand new DIVA Analog 4 PCI on my XP computer.
The installation of the System Release 8.5WIN was easy (much easier then the 
Dialogic SR 5.1.1 for the other cards ...)
I used my test application that plays WAV files over the TAPI driver.
The card immediately picked up an incoming call and played my test voice 
file (PCM 8kHz, 8 bit, mono).
The sound quality however is very bad :-(
On the Dialogic D-4PCI I had to increase the sampling rate to (PCM 11025, 
16bit, mono) for a decent voice quality. Is there a default (best quality) 
setting on the Diva too ? Are there any other settings to consider ?

Marc,

basically the Diva analog boards have really excellent voice quality.

You need to use 8kHz, 16 bit, mono for best results.
This is the native rate and sampling depth in ISDN networks (where
the Diva boards come from) and I believe there is no difference with
the Diva analog boards.
