Preview while capturing from HDV Camera failing   

Hi all,

I am trying to capture from HDV camera using the following graph :

HDV Device ---  Smart Tee --- File Writer
                                       --- MS Mpeg Demuxer ---
Mainconcept Video Decoder --- VMR 9
 
--- Mainconcept Audio Decoder --- Default Sound


But while connecting the Smart Tee filter(preview pin) with the MS
MPEG Demuxer, i get an error saying that the media type of the two
pins don't match or the time stamp information is missing. The problem
is that this is NOT 100 % reproducible. The same graph works most of
the time but it stop working when we do a fast foward and then start
the capture.


Any help would be highly appreciated.

The Smart Tee Filter can drop the preview.
Instead of it, you might want to use the Infinite Pin Tee Filter.

stamps from the preview stream.

would be more comfortable to independent handle capture/preview graph.
See www.mpegcode.com , download CapSwitchFilter, see attached pdf how to use.
easy to test within GraphEdit, supports all codecs avaliable, run-stop-run 
capture graph without affect preview, multifile recording without loosing 
samples/frames,

free for uncommercial use,
