I have 3 computers on an Ethernet network. All have XP Pro SP2 OS. They are connected through a D-Link router/hub. All ping normally. The Ethernet adapter, Netgear FA410TX, in one shows in System Information to be enabled; however, it shows a strange IP address for the DHCP Server of 43.134.195.11 in place of 192.168.0.1 which shows as the DHCP Server for the other network clients/computers. When I run the Microsoft utility for Network Diagnosis, I get a FAILED notice citing "Netgear FA410TX Fast EThernet PCMCIA 3.0. Why isn't this computer relying on the D-Link router/hub for its IP's like the other client computers?
> Why isn't this computer relying on the D-Link router/hub for its IP's like > the other client computers? If you open a command window and type the following commands: ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew Does it still acquire the strange IP address, or does it acquire the correct IP.
