I was wondering .. for games that rely on directx. that is directplay etc. how can one allow for unix/linux based dedicated servers for those games? Ofcourse one can use windows server, and one must allow for that, but what about hosting a PURE server on other platforms. How is it achieved? Isnt it planned even before one starts coding multiplayer games?
