Starting on DirectX
So even if as you say DirectX is going out I will still need to
learn DirectX. Any ideas for good resources. I found a few but they
were based on coding tips for VB. o_O
I'll need s good book perhaps. One that starts with "hello world" :)
I have a XBOX emulator and it can read XBE. I havent tried it coz i
have no XBOX DVDs at hand. I dont know if it'll work. But
nevertheless, I'll start on DirectX now.
Thanks, great posters, I bow in reverence. :P

Re: Starting on DirectX
Forget the emulator and the XDK, just learn normal PC DirectX in C++
Gamdev has a big list of Direct books

Drunken Hyena has C++ tutorials

I'm not sure what position you are interviewing for in the XBox group, but
if you are having to ask about 'hello world' type directx applications then
you are going to find the interview there *very* hard.
