Learning to write simple games
I'd like to create a simple game with avatars such as the ones in "Rise of
Nations". I experimented with Microsoft's "tiny" in the Direct3D samples. I
managed to make it walk and run from one point to another. It's a great model
but its animations are fairly limited and it has only one skin. Do you know
where I can get/buy more DirectX-compatible models?

Also, could you recommend a good book on writing simple games with avatars?

Thanks a million, w.
