AD RMS installation fails to initate
Hi All
I encountered a strange error message when attempting to install AD RMS
The scenario is a Win2k3 sp 2 forest with single domain (both functional
level are win2k3 native)
The schema has be upgraded to support win2k8 servser
THe AD RMS Server is 64 bit enterprise edition.
when selecting the AD RMS rolw from teh add role function in server manager
I recieve the following error message

"The account you are logged on with is not valid for installing AD RMS
server role. Log on with a domain account that is a memeber of the local
administrators group instead"

I looged on with three different users all of them both enterprise admins
and domain admins
Installing Win2k3 RMS SP 2 in this environment went without a hitch!!

Any Ideas?

RE: AD RMS installation fails to initate
Hi,

I am having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
Have you been able to troubleshoot and solve it?

Here is a similar post:

Any help would be much apreciated.
Many thanks in advance
