VS2008 has Killed my UltraEdit32 .vs File Association
I have been running Visual Studio 2005 alongside UltraEdit for a couple of
years. I was always able to set my file association to VBScript files w/ the
extension .vs to UltraEdit32 without a problem.

I installed VS2008 yesterday, and now I can't force the .vs file association
to UltraEdit. In fact, UltraEdit is no longer displayed in the list of
programs available for association. I have to browse for the executable. And
when I attempt to make the association, Windows returns a different program.

When I attempt the association in UE32's Configuration, I will type .vs in
the text box, and when I hit "Add", the extension is changed to .vspscc.

Has anyone encountered this? Anyone solved it. This is quite a nuisance.

Re: VS2008 has Killed my UltraEdit32 .vs File Association
The problem is solved. If I use Windows' Folder Options File Types ADVANCED
button on the .vs extension, and fill in the path, navigate to UltraEdit for
the icon and fill in UltraEdit in the Application text box, the change
sticks. It just won't work if I use the "Edit" button alone and browse to
UltraEdit.
