The problem is solved. If I use Windows' Folder Options File Types ADVANCED
button on the .vs extension, and fill in the path, navigate to UltraEdit for
the icon and fill in UltraEdit in the Application text box, the change
sticks. It just won't work if I use the "Edit" button alone and browse to
UltraEdit.
