Installation of Visual Studio.NET
Yeah, new to Visual Studio, but I've been around long enough to know
somethings wrong! I installed the free Visual Web Developer and Visual Basic
Express - went fine. And am having fun with it. I'm working on an MCAD and
bought Visual Studio.NET 2003 Academic (I am a student, a bit older than the
norm) since the tests are based on it. Problem is I go to install it with the
first CD, and I get a window saying I need prerequisites and asks for that
disc... I put the disc in, click OK (for drive D, which it's in) and
nothing... the disc spins for a second, the VS.NET Setup box goes away... and
nothing. Any reason why this won't install? Got plenty of horsepower
computer-wise.

RE: Installation of Visual Studio.NET
Sorry - I'm moving this to the academic section... I did solve this - however:
Ok, solved that by looking in the knowledge base - now step 2 (install) does
the EXACT SAME THING!! I click step 2 and it sits there, then the setup
window just goes away... frustrating!
