MS Silverlight Strategy
Just wondering if folks agree with MS's strategy of berating at every chance
to install the beta of Silverlight. Is the purpose to test the installation
process?

Really, if there was CONTENT for silverlight, then folks would just choose
to install. I don't install Acrobat reader to have it - I do because there
is a PDF I want to read. MS seems to just want folks to have the Silverlight
runtime. But from what I have seen, very little of the material at MS site
is anything but Media Player format.

"berating"? Do you mean something like "offering", or do you mean something
like "browbeating"? I believe the former substitute is more accurate. Of
course Microsoft would like as many people as possible to use Silverlight,
and there is a fair amount of Silverlight content on some MSDN pages.

So, if you don't want to install it, don't. It's as simple as that.

Re: MS Silverlight Strategy
Well if it didn't ask me every time I would not care. But seems every time I
see a page with Silverlight, it asks me to install, and does not always work
in Firefox...
