After a windows media encoder 9 series update, my media player will play. The application is still loaded but when I try to call it up, it just blinks but does not display. When I try to open a wmv file it will not open or will abort. Did this update somehow corrupts or destroy the path to the media player? Or is the file now corrupt? MS website calls for a Version 11 for Vista but when I try to download, it tells me that it does not apply to my system. The other versions look like their for Macs or for XP versions.
