Viewing a program from TV station on computer
I opened the site where the TV program could be downloaded. I was looking at
it and it would pause-continue-pause-continue, etc. It looks like either it
was faster than my DSL could accommodate or something else.

I would like to know what I would have to do so it would not pause but
continue on without interruption.

I am on XP Professional using a DSL.

Thanks

DSL comes in several speeds. The more basic is not a lot better than
dialup. The best is of course more expensive and of much higher speed.
For example ATT/Yahoo has 3 levels at different prices. If your
connection is too slow, it can not keep up with the data stream and
must halt from time to time to catch up with downloading, or in some
cases for true streaming video in real time you may not be able to
play the video at all. Then the problem might be with just general
problems on the web at that time that slows down everything, even if
you have a connection that is capable of very high speed when
everything is right. I would first try viewing or recording the video
at different times to see if it plays without pause at some times of
the day or on different days. A few sites allow you to select from
more than one download speed, so if your's does, select a lower
download speed if possible.
