wmv or mp4 format
Dear all,

Which is the most suitable format to be played on Windows Media Player for
WM6.0? I tried several settings with .mp4 as well as .wmv converters yet the
video output is utterly bumpy. Neither reducing the bitrate nor lowering the
resolution did improve the video play.

Can somebody recommend a suitable converter (tried Hando, Ultra, Xilisoft
etc.) and best rated settings?

In this way – what is the most performing cluster size for a 6GB SD card –
plugged in my PDA (HTC touch) to gain speed?

Thanks, Sandro

Re: wmv or mp4 format
I typically just let Media Player on the PC do the conversion for me as I
sync the videos, but I don't do that a lot, and it is slow. It creates
wma's. I currently have an ATT Tilt, also an HTC device, and there have been
numerous web discussions on the inadequacy of it's video drivers. Not sure
if this is the case with the Touch.

You are actually not in the right group to get a good answer to this BTW.
This one is for an old purely media centric platform that MS had as a
companion to the Media Center PCs, called Portable Media Center. Similar
interface and pretty good transfer capabilities. There is a
microsoft.public.pocketpc.multimedia newsgroup where there are folks that
are much more in tune to the media aspects of current PPCs than I.
