RE: MCE not recognizing tuner card and then crashing   
Thank you Mr. Miller!
I was perplexed by windows\ehome\ehRec.exe, and could find no explanation of 
its purpose, only correction for error in xp SP3. The instructions below 
answered my questions and helped me understand its function and why it was 
contacting a microsoft site in the background.
