In Media Center. Error message "Disk full"
When I try to start 'Live TV' in Media Center I get a display message that
says the disk is full and I have to select a new disk in Settings. I have
tried this to no avail. My disks are not full. I only have a few recorded
shows and have plenty of free space. The setting I have in Media Center are
correct. That is not the problem.

This started happening after my system lost power. I truly belive this a
corrupt file situation. I just can't seem to figure out what file controls
this.

Help !!!!, please...

Sometimes it happens if you have Norton Staff. If that be the case then
simply uninstall that.
Second thing you can do is to change the default location for recorded TV.
Keep in mind that Live TV is written to hard disk before being replayed
so if you allocate more space it will ultimately help you.

Re: In Media Center. Error message "Disk full"
I appreciate your response, but as I had mentioned if had already tried that.

I just spent the last week trying to figure out this problem and finally got
my Media Center Live TV working again. I tried fixing it by using my windows
installation CD to repair windows and that didn't resolve the issue. Finally
after hunting around the ehome directory I viewed the config file and noticed
the the allocation line was set to 75 even though I had changed it many times
while trying to get live TV working.

Once I set the recording storage settings to match what was in the
'eshell.config' file my live TV worked. Then I was able to change it to 50%
in recording strorage settings, as you can see below, and live TV still
worked.

<DiskAllocation>50</DiskAllocation>

Hope this helps others.
