I've been futilely attempting ....ALL DAY....installing SP3 for XP. Does it really take 8 hours or more to install??? when I began the install this morning, it froze my PC. I had to kill the install & restart it. Although I've been able to work - somewhat - while this miserable, stinkin' SP is being installed, the work's been at a snail's pace, in spite of 4GB of RAM. Gee...Thanks Microsoft.......

No, it doesn't take that long; every XP Pro PC at work that has SP3 installed ran in fairly quick manner - much quicker than SP2, IMHO. In most cases, the users continued to use the PC during the install. My personal MCE system at home also ran very quickly. What version of MCE are you running? -- James Orlando (Goofy says "Hey"), Florida "Barry in Georgia" <Barry in Georgia@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:ED9E532D-5628-4F5C-BD90-313C5C69E538@microsoft.com... > I've been futilely attempting ....ALL DAY....installing SP3 for XP.
