Buffering indicator for video in WMP 11
I like WMP 11.

The only thing I don't see in WMP 11, which was there in WMP 10,
is the toolbar indicator as to the progress of the video downloading into WMP.

Specifically, WMP 10, upon loading a video, particularly from the internet, would say "buffering 12%.... buffering 58%....etc" to give you an idea how much longer it will take for the video to download in WMP.

Is there a way to see the buffering indicator / toolbar in WMP 11?

Thanks.

There is no WMP 11. There's a public beta version for testing purposes only.

So why don't you write a feature request report to the approciate
support place? Hint: It's not here.

You mean you've got the WMP plugin running? Respect! Any details how you
made it?

The indicator symbol is still there. Strange...

Sorry, I don't quite understand your reply.

You say "Hint: It's not here."; but then you say "The indicator symbol is
still there. Strange..."

But maybe I wasn't clear in my question.

When I had WMP 10 - at the bottom of the screen - I guess it's called the
WMP taskbar - if the video wouldn't load immediately, it would say
"buffering 28%......buffering 76%... etc. " until 100% is reached and the
video loads and plays in WMP.

In WMP 11, I don't see this buffering information while a video (usually
from the internet) is trying to load. If the video loads and plays
immediately - there is no problem.

However if you have to wait for the video to load, the buffering information
tells you how much time you can expect to wait.

Is this buffering information also available in WMP 11 beta?

Your question was clear. So, once again: Current WMP11 is a beta
version, it might have serious bugs and lack features. Try to a ask a
developer if the removal was intended of if it's just hidden.

For my installation, the buffering indicator appears, but no message is
shown. Dunno if this is also true for the WMP plugin.
