So you want to uniformly rip content in media player, and have extra
content you've added manually as files/folders, to match the layout of
media player ... Sure, that's been designed in.

First, ensure your Rip CD settings are correctly arranged - under the
Rip tab, choose the small dropdown menu, More Options
Setup the File Name... button how you like it for example
artist-album-title with a Dash separator is one example.
WMP always rips to folders nested in the same way (Artist then Albums,
then Tracks). Now with that box open, go to the Library options panel.
Make sure 'Rename music files...' and 'Rearrange music files...' are
ticked, optionally retrieving information from the internet and
'Overwrite all media information'.
That's usually a no-no if you manually maintain the library contents,
but you want to merge the two into a uniform set of data.
Now make sure the manually added folders are Monitored Folders (or
below one which is). The steps to do that are listed in the WMP FAQ
under "To change which folders are monitored by the Player" here :
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/sharing.mspx#q20_12
Once you have all the required folders up to date (press F11 to update
the library) the folder rename/rearrange should happen, usually in the
background, so it may take a while - and possibly a couple of restarts
of WMP or even over reboots - before all the information is rearranged
on the manually added content to match the WMP folder layout.
