I had already ripped an audio CD. Now if I want to rip it again, say with a different bit rate or with some other format (mp3 instead of wma) then as soon as the Windows Media Player checks the CD and finds that it has been previously ripped, it immediately ejects the CD and closes the session. How can I rip again a previously ripped CD?

Well, one possibility is to install CDEX (free) and rip it with that. I seem to get better quality audio as well. Some of the CD's I've ripped with WMP11 seem to have distorted bass, as though it has been recorded at too high a volume level. Re-ripping with CDEX usually fixes the tracks. -- Steve Swift http://www.swiftys.org.uk/swifty.html http://www.ringers.org.uk

I shall certainly try to use the tool. But I am rather surprised to note that Windows Media Player does not offer this facility. Or do they have this feature to re-rip a CD but I am not aware of the procedure to follow?
