Cann not see, just hear avi files
I used to watch my video clips in WMP 11 @ Windows XP with no problem, but
since 2 weeks ago, I just can hear them...
not even thumbnails appear now on the explorer....
It was an "typical update" of WMP that caused it?????
How can I reverse that effect....
I dont have that problem with WMP 9 and windows 98
I can watch my clips on Quicktime with no problem.....
Is it time to put WMP to the trash can????

Try to find out what a typical AVI files content is, using the GSpot
tool from http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ to identify the codec used
within the AVI (they're mostly a variable bunch)

Typical sample of AVI files might be about 50% DivX video if you
downloaded them from friends or file sharing services. That codec
comes from here http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/codec/

HTH
