I am trying to transfer Sony Digital 8 tabpes to my computer. I have a Sony DCR-TRV350 video camera. I installed WME 9. When I have the camera plugged in via USB and playing a tape, I can go in WME and see the video. I can not get the audio at that time for some reason. But, then when I select "start Encoding", the screen goes blank/black in the video capture area. When I am all done, I opn the saved file up in WMP and it actually has no video, but the sound is there. How do I get the video to capture properly too? PS. I saw a thread that was on this subject in 2005, but the end solution was not good for me. They wanted to use the camera in real-time as a webcam and used a firewire connection which I can not do.
