Help! CD burner has been cloned somehow, WMP will not recognize pl
Whenever I try to burn CD's on WMP, I get the message that there is 'no
burner detected', even though I do have a CD burner connected to my PC.
Moreover, I only have one DVD drive and one CD-RW drive, but for some reason,
there are TWO locations (E: and G:, F: and H:) for each physical drive! Can
someone please help me remedy this?

Thanks,
John

You can/could open device mgr,locate the drives,expand the tree,R.click
on the hardware, select "uninstall",do for each w/o restarting pc,once thru,
exit, shutdown pc.Move the devices to other IDE connection, change jumper
 pins as needed,xp will reinstall them..Or,edit regedit,go to run,type:regedit
 Expand: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\locate & open
SetUp.Check SourcePath & Setup, make sure youre cd & dvd letters are present,
if not,L.click,go to edit, modify, add or delete unwanted, exit when thru.

Okay, not sure how to switch to the other IDE connection, so had to try the
second option. Found setup and clicked sourcepath, and the only thing that
was in there was E:\.
