Address book not visible
When I attempt to display my AB, the list is empty (also the Contacts pane)
but when I try to add someone to my AB; I get a message that says this
contact is already in my AB. So I must still have an address Book but I
can't seem to display it or use it to help me address emails. I am running
XP Home with SP2 and I think I am using IE version 7. I only have about 20
contacts at present so I shouldn't have a problem with too many contacts.

Any suggestions??

Re: Address book not visible
If Address Book contains 1,000 or more contacts, it will appear blank to
you. It's a longstanding bug and will never be fixed.

Re: Address book not visible
PA Bear,
I only have about 20 people in my Address Book so this is not the problem.
Do you have any other suggestions??
Thanks!

Re: Address book not visible
Ron,
Not sure what you mean by "Start, Run, etc."
Sorry but I am not a "computer geek". Did you mean to hit the START button
on the bottom left of the screen and then select "Run" and then type "wab/a"
in the command line?? If so; I tried that and got an error message that says
"Windows could not find that file". I have to leave for several hours but
when I return I will check for a reply from you.
Many thanks for your response!!

Re: Address book not visible
There's an important space between "wab" and the slash:

Start | Run | (type or copy/paste) wab /a | [OK]

The command should open the default Address Book; cf.
http://www.insideoe.com/files/wab.htm

Re: Address book not visible
No, I do not have MS Outlook installed. I tried the above suggestion of
running
wab /a and that opened up my address book which is still blank. But if I
click on
"Find people" and search one at a time; AB will show them.
Does this help you any??

Thanks in advance!

Re: Address book not visible
Do an Advanced search and include Hidden Files and Folders. Search for:

*.wab

and:

*.wa~

Do any of the results show an AB with addresses in it? If so, right click on
one and send it to a folder on your HDD, i.e., My Documents. Open OE and
open the Address Book. File | Import | Address Book (wab) and point to where
you saved it. Does the AB show the addresses now?

Re: Address book not visible
Mister Jim: Open your Address Book and single click on "Main
Identity Contacts" and see what that does.
