Cannot add subaccount for OE6
I have a DSL connection through Verizon. I have no problems at all with the
Main Identity. Yesterday, I was trying to add a subaccount (I am allowed 8
names). I added everything and tested. It would not allow me to either
send or receive mail for the new name.

Thinking that I just had something minor not set right, I called Verizon for
help. After an hour on the phone, program would still not allow mail. I
forget what it said for outgoing, but incoming said that name was not
recognized.

They suggested finally that I call Microsoft. I don't want to do this as
they would charge $35.00. I have a Dell Dimension 8400 with 1g RAM and run
XP Professional.

Can anyone help?

You probably need to set the new account up first via Verizon and then
configure it in OE.

Thanks for the response. I had already done that. I finally found the
problem. One of the settings was incorrect. I went through everything with
Verizon tech support, but I got some wrong info. It's working now.
