Inbox folder won't open & all back email gone
O/S: Windows 98 4.10.1998
Internet Explorer 5 6.0.2800.1106.

I cannot open my Outlook Express unless I turn my computer completely off
and then turn it back on. It says it cannot open this folder. Everything else
like sent mail, deleted mail etc will open when clicked on but not the
infolder.
Also, all my back email has dissappeared. It's not in the delete folder.
It's just gone. I didn't delete it either. Is there anyway I can get it back?

Any help appreciated.

The version number you give for IE is IE 6, not IE5.

In OE go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder and write down
where OE is storing its data.
Open Windows Explorer. Click Tools | Folder Options | View and make sure
"Show all messages" is selected. Go to the Store Folder you wrote down
above. What folders do you see with Inbox in their names and what are their
sizes?
