Exporting messages & folders to another computer
Hi Group,

Changing computers, I need to transfer my messages from one to the other
Okay I go to export messages
I get " The export could not be performed, an error occured while
initializing MAPI"

Please can anyone advise how to correct this error or a workaround?

Thanks in advance to all those that take the time to give a sensible reply

Re: Exporting messages & folders to another computer
If you are trying to export to Windows Messaging or Outlook97/98/2000+
on the same PC, then that program must be the default MAPI program (Not
OE). The messages go to the default profile in that program. On the
other hand, if all you want to do is back up the files or transfer to
another PC using OE, Export is not the way to go.

Backing Up, Recovering and Restoring Outlook Express versions 5 & 6
Files and Settings
