Recovering mail folders
Newbie here.............

My Outlook Express crashed yesterday :~(

I've managed to repair my Accounts, but all my folders have disappeared. I've
created them as new but how do I get the contents back?

The .dbx files are all still in Outlook/News, but how do I make them visible
again?

Any freeware fixes or other suggestions ??

TIA, Jenny

Re: Recovering mail folders
Assuming that you want to recover mail messages, not news posts:
Go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder and note where OE is
keeping its data files. If it's a different location than the other DBX
files use OE's File | Import.

Re: Recovering mail folders
Note the folder they are in, and open Outlook Express and use its menu
File/Import/Messages, selecting OE6 and From a Message Store and point to
the folder location where they are stored.

Re: Recovering mail folders
Do you have Windows Explorer or Search set to show (search) hidden files and
folders?
